RAID Array *1
*1: LS-WXL,

Congure RAID array from this menu.
RAID 0 and RAID 1 mode are available for use. LinkStation will be used just as
the two hard drives if RAID setting is disabled.
Disk Structure:
Displays the hard drive conguring RAID. To congure a RAID array, check the
target drive, select RAID mode and click [Create Raid Array]. To delete the RAID
array, select [Delete RAID Array].
Changing RAID Array setting causes data loss. Back up any important data in
advance.
[RAID Array Error Detection Response]:
When there is an error on RAID Array, the system will be automatically shut
down to protect data (This feature is only for RAID 1. This does not work
under normal mode or RAID 0 mode).
The default setting is [Shutdown].
[RAID Array check speed]:
Select the speed of the RAID Scan from the following
[High]: 10 hours per 1 TB RAID Array
[Normal]: 20 hours per 1 TB RAID Array
[Low]: 100 hours per 1 TB RAID Array
RAID Scanning *1

A RAID scan tests your RAID array for errors. If errors are found, they are xed
automatically if possible. If you are using a RAID array, regular RAID scans are
recommended.
Recoverable errors found during standard le operations will be automatically
repaired regardless of performing RAID Scanning or not.
